Happy Lunar New Year to all the folks back home! I've just finished my spring cleaning - did my laundry that was spilling out of my laundry bag, threw away all the rubbish in my room, vacuumed, made the bed, washed all my dirty dishes - and now I'm all ready to usher in the new year!

Updates coming soon!

Christmas is coming and that means the end of 2007 is near.

Thinking back, 2007 has not been easy for me. Never have i felt such despair and frustration. But there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and i believe that it's here.

Being in London does have it's up side. I'm thoroughly enjoying attending lectures again, catching up with friends i've not spoken to over the summer, taking care of myself (sometimes), having late night conversations and suppers with my girl gang....and the list goes on and on.

There are dull moments where i miss home, my family and friends...but it's something i've learnt to deal with over the past 2 years.

I've not been taking that many photos over the past year but I managed to take some last week.
Here's some pictures taken at Nish's 20 birthday bash :)

So i'm back in London.
I wonder what this year will bring.
Last year was really tough for me.
Alot of changes - extreme happiness, extreme sadness, extreme anger, extreme disappointment....

I just hope this academic year will go smoothly for Marcus and I.
I hope Marcus gets everything he is aiming for.
I hope I get the one thing I want.

Marcus picked me up on Thursday and we scooted over to maxwell market for lunch. After trawling through the place, we finally decided on having Chicken rice. The queue was so damn long and we had to wait a good 30 minutes just to get our food! It's amazng the extent a Singaporean would go to get good food, myself included. But it was well worth the wait. The chicken breast was amaingly tender, the rice was so fragrant and each grain of rice was coated in all the chickeny fatty goodness that makes chicken rice...well, chicken rice. By the end of it, we were both perspiring like dogs. Partly due to the garlic chilli and partly due to the stifling heat.

We decided to take refuge from the heat in his car...but not before getting some dessert. We managed to get our hands on the famous tapioca cake which we feasted upon while blasting the A/C in his car. Man, it was good.

I wish all my lunches could be like this.

Today's my anniversary. I remember telling Marcus that we should stop celebrating monthlies after the first year, but somehow we never did. We still eagerly wait till midnight just so we can be the first to call and wish the other person happy anniversary and we always make it a point to make the day special, whether it be dinner, kind words or a cuddle. Today's no exception, I'm meeting his for lunch and later again for dinner. Can't wait!

Happy anniversary my darling, you're more than I could ever ask for.

Last night was my first time watching a movie in months. My dad got 2 free tickets to watch Hairspray and since he didn’t want to go, I went with Jie instead.

It’s bloody good! I loved the songs and the actors. Michelle Pfeiffer was amazing. I didn’t like her character in the movie but her performance was outstanding. Her eyes are so expressive and she’s ageing so well! John Travolta was charismatic as always and the duet he did with Christopher Walken was so sweet. Overall good movie, go watch!
